From the Appalachians to the Rockies: A Colorado Log Home
Here's a log and timber hybrid home that uses Appalachian-style square logs in the round-log Rockies. A winning combination all around.
Hand-hewn timbers frame the picture window in the dining room, which has a small upper window to accommodate a stained-glass panel. The table is actually two tables pushed together: a new one and another that Charlie found at a garage sale.
The roomy kitchen features custom cabinets and a pressed-tin backsplash behind the stove.
